If you are here, you may know this feeling

Some parts of infertility are difficult to explain to anyone who hasn’t lived them.

The appointments. The waiting. The hope before every result. The fear of allowing yourself to hope again. The questions you replay in your head at night.

Sometimes you don’t need another answer. You just need somewhere safe to put everything you’re carrying.

A gentle thought for the day you’re in

100 affirmations to meet you where you are.

Every daily reflection begins with a gentle affirmation — not to force positivity, but to offer a moment of steadiness when your own thoughts feel heavy.

My worth is not tied to a calendar, a timeline, or an outcome.

I am allowed to hold hope and uncertainty at the same time.

My body deserves kindness, especially on the hardest days.

I am more than appointments, results, and waiting.

Today, getting through the day is enough.

A simple daily ritual for difficult seasons.

A daily affirmation

A gentle thought to sit with before you begin — without forcing positivity or promising an outcome.

An emotional check-in

Notice how you are feeling without needing to explain, justify or change it.

Return to what you can control

A simple reflection that brings your attention back to one small thing that is still yours today.

A moment of gratitude

Not to erase grief, but to give your heart somewhere gentle to rest.

Take a look inside.

  • 100 guided daily reflections
  • Emotional check-ins
  • Space to focus on what is within your control
  • Gratitude reflection

Why I created this journal

Nine years changed the way I understand waiting.

My journey through secondary infertility lasted nine years.

It included pregnancy loss, IVF, failed transfers, uncertainty, fear and many moments when I wondered whether our family would ever grow again.

I created it so that another woman going through this journey might feel a little less alone.

This journal will never promise you an outcome.

Infertility comes with enough promises, predictions and uncertainty.

This journal does not tell you that everything happens for a reason. It does not ask you to manifest harder. And it does not suggest that positive thinking can change a medical outcome.

It simply gives you somewhere to pause, write honestly and care for yourself while you move through something incredibly difficult.

Questions, answered gently.

Who is this journal for?

One Leaf at a Time was created for women navigating infertility, secondary infertility, IVF or other fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, or the long, uncertain in-between of waiting and hoping. If you are looking for somewhere private and gentle to process what you're carrying, this journal was made with you in mind.

Is this journal only for IVF?

No. While many of the reflections come from an IVF and secondary infertility journey, the journal was written to hold space for infertility more broadly, including pregnancy loss, natural conception struggles, and the waiting that comes with any fertility path.

How does the 100-day journal work?

Each of the 100 days offers one gentle affirmation, a short emotional check-in, a prompt to notice what's still within your control, and space for gratitude. You can move through it in order, or open to whichever day meets you where you are.

Do I need to write every day?

Not at all. This journal has no rules and no schedule to keep. Some days you may write pages; other days, a single word may be enough. It will always be here, exactly as you left it.

Is this medical or therapeutic advice?

No. One Leaf at a Time is a journalling and reflection tool, not medical or psychological treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, or offer guidance on fertility outcomes. Please continue working with your medical team and, if helpful, a qualified therapist or counsellor alongside this journal.
